Overview
Part of Global Business Mobility route
For graduate training programmes within multinational companies
Short-term UK work experience (non-renewable)
Must apply from outside UK
Eligibility Requirements
Employment:
Existing employee of multinational group
Employer must hold approved sponsor licence
Must have Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS)
Work Experience:
≥3 months employment overseas with same employer
Training Programme:
Role must be part of graduate training programme for management/specialist development
Must be on eligible occupations list:

Salary:
£27,300/year OR 70% of going rate for role (whichever higher)
Key Restrictions
Maximum stay: 12 months (CoS period + 14 days)
No extensions (but can reapply from overseas)
Total limit: 5 years across all Global Business Mobility visas in any 6-year period

Costs & Financial Requirements
Application fee: £319
Immigration Health Surcharge: £1,035/year
Maintenance funds: £1,270 (held 28 days before application)
Exempt if employer certifies support for first month
Application Process & Documents
Earliest application: 3 months before job start
Processing: Usually 3 weeks (priority services available)

Valid passport
CoS reference number
3-month overseas employment proof (payslips/bank statements)
Training programme details
Financial evidence
TB certificate (if required)
Dependants
Eligible: Spouse/civil partner/unmarried partner/children under 18
Relationship evidence: Marriage/birth certificates or 2+ years cohabitation proof
Additional funds required:
Partner: £285
First child: £315
Each additional child: £200
Rights: Work (except professional sport) and study
Important Notes
Role changes during training: No visa update needed (employer notifies UKVI)
Health/Education sectors: Special salary rules apply (£27,300 or full going rate)
Sensitive research: ATAS certificate may be required for PhD-level sensitive subjects
