Get an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) to Visit the UK – September 2025 Update
Official link: https://www.gov.uk/eta
What is an ETA?
An Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) allows the holder to visit the UK for tourism, family visits, or certain other purposes for up to 6 months.
Cost: £16
Third-party websites may charge higher fees – beware of imitation sites mimicking government services.
An ETA does not guarantee entry to the UK.
Who Needs an ETA?
Most visitors to the UK require either an ETA or a visa, depending on their nationality and purpose of travel. Travellers from specific countries (including the EU, US, Australia, Canada) typically need an ETA rather than a visa.
