B3 Consulate Registration
After new international students have successfully registered at their university, they are required to complete registration and reporting procedures at the Education Section of the Chinese Embassy in the United Kingdom. In accordance with the regulations, self-funded international students (those not funded by the China Scholarship Council or the Chinese Academy of Sciences, including those sponsored by their employers or local governments) must, upon arrival in the UK, complete registration and reporting formalities via the "International Students Registration and Reporting Information Management System" of the Education Section of the Chinese Embassy in the UK. This facilitates their receipt of important information issued by the Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange.
For relevant technical issues, please contact xxzy@csc.edu.cn
Reminder from Shi Sheng Miao: It is advisable to fill in all information correctly at one time, check it carefully, and complete the form diligently. This is because in some cases, modifications may not be possible after submission—should a technical issue arise, it would cause inconvenience. You would then need to send an email to explain the situation, which requires reserving additional time in advance.
Additionally, when filling out the Registration and Reporting Form, please pay attention to the following guidelines:
Study Abroad Status: Select the option corresponding to the academic degree you are about to pursue. If you do not obtain a degree upon completion of your programme, or only receive a graduation certificate (not a degree certificate), please select "Other International Students" as your study abroad status.
Date of Arrival in the Foreign Country: Fill in the date stated on the entry stamp in your passport, which is issued when you enter the UK.
Enrollment Date: Fill in the enrollment date for the academic degree (or academic programme, excluding foundation courses and language courses) you are applying for. This date must be later than your date of arrival in the foreign country.
Graduation/Completion Date: Fill in the degree-awarding date as shown on your graduation certificate (or the official letter of certification from your university).
Planned Return Date to China: Fill in the date on your flight ticket booking for returning to China after the completion of your degree (or academic programme). For those who have already returned to China, please fill in the actual date of your return.
