Referee 2:

Ø Must be either a professional person OR aged 25 or above
For child applicants:
Ø One referee must be a professional who has engaged with the child professionally (e.g., teacher, social worker, minister of religion)

Referees cannot be:
Ø Your relative
Ø Related to the other referee

Ø A Home Office employee
Persons with unspent criminal convictions from the past 10 years cannot serve as referees
The Home Office verifies referees' credentials, criminal records, and signatures
Providing false information intentionally may result in:
Ø Up to £5,000 fine
Ø Up to 3 months imprisonment
