C4.58 Pandemic Return to China Notice (Expired)

Reminder for International Students Returning to China During the UK Pandemic (Outdated)
Attention international students studying in the UK:If you plan to return to China via a chartered flight from the UK, you must communicate clearly with your university in advance. Do not return against the university’s wishes. If the university refuses or relevant matters are not properly arranged, international students in the UK may face the following consequences:

  1. Future visa renewals may be rejected.

  2. For universities that have not suspended classes, unexcused absence from classes will result in the cancellation of your student visa. Some universities will immediately revoke the student visa if they discover the student has left the UK during this period.

  3. The exam season is approaching—missing exams is more serious than failing them.

  4. If you leave the university without following the specified procedures and your student visa is cancelled, tuition fees will not be refunded.

  5. You may not be able to graduate normally. Even if the university switches to online courses, you must confirm with the university whether you can return to China to attend them. Generally, this is not allowed; many universities require students to be in the UK even for online classes or exams.

  6. When returning to China, you must report to the local police station and community in China in advance. Follow their arrangements for self-isolation or centralized isolation.

  7. If you leave the UK, you may be denied re-entry when trying to enter again in the future.
