C4.24 IKEA UK

Where Are IKEA Stores Located in the UK?

IKEA is now a world-famous brand. It offers a complete range of furniture and household items, making shopping convenient—and importantly, the prices are affordable.

IKEA originates from Sweden and operates on a self-service shopping model. Its stores are usually multi-floor, with each floor focusing on different product categories. The products range from large items like beds and wardrobes to small ones like spoons and toys. Some stores are located in city centers, while others are in more outlying areas.

Currently, there are over 20 IKEA stores in the UK. Some are very large, and some are smaller. For example, the IKEA store in Coventry (where I live) is quite large—even people from nearby Warwick come here to shop.

ShishengMao’s Reminders

  1. If you visit IKEA frequently, it’s recommended to get a      membership card. The card is free, and you can occasionally enjoy      discounts or receive small gifts.

  2. IKEA charges a fee for home delivery, and delivery is not      immediate—it may take several days or even a week. Unless you’re buying      extra-large furniture, it’s better to take your purchases home yourself.      Additionally, items like shoe racks, desks, and wardrobes do not include      assembly services; you’ll need to assemble them yourself at home. IKEA      does offer assembly services, but they are very expensive.

  3. If you’re buying beds or bedding that require size checks,      remember to measure in advance. Most student beds in the UK are      single-sized, and even double beds are not very large.

  4. Before visiting, make a shopping list. For items you      particularly want to buy, check IKEA’s stock on the official website in      advance to avoid going empty-handed.

  5. Bring a large bag or a trolley—your purchases will likely be      very heavy. Of course, you can also buy IKEA-branded bags on-site.
